Digitization is changing our society more and more, also in critical areas. Their penetration into companies, as well as into the personal living space of people, not only results in advantages. Criminals are more interested in exploiting weak points in infrastructures and systems. For this reason, IT security is becoming an increasingly important issue in order to protect IT systems and to minimize the risks such as hacking, "data theft" and the resulting financial or image damage.

In addition to functional safety, the need for IT security experts is increasing rapidly. Due to the European NIS specification and the German version, the IT Security Act, operators of such infrastructures are obliged to make improvements here.

The Master’s IT Security course provides you with the necessary technological and economic knowledge. In addition, the social effects and the handling of ethical questions in this area are also dealt with during the course.
