Учебный план программы обучения "Management and Technology (TUM-BWL)"

The first 4 semesters communicate you the basic knowledge of the disciplines Management, Mathematics, Law and Economics.

Starting in the second semester, students get insights into their chosen specialization in technology (Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Informatics, Electrical and Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Medicine and Renewable Resources).

The specialization in Renewable Resources is taught at TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability. The specialization in Computer Engineering is the only specialization taught 100 % in English. The is a special selection procedure for the specialization of medicine. Students who start their studies from WS 19/20 can only choose this specialization. The specialization medicine has also limited number of capacity.

Within the upper terms, our students get the chance to prove their team working skills during the module “Project Studies” and can choose a specialization in the Management or/and Technology area depending on their personal interests.

Moreover, the modules “International Experience" & "Communication Skills” give students the possibility to acquire important soft skills, extend their language proficiencies and collect experience abroad.

Through the mobility window, we give our students the possibility to complete a semester abroad at one of our partner universities.

Finally, the sixth semester is devoted to the Bachelor’s thesis.

Language of instruction:

The language of instruction for this program is either English (English Track: available only specialization in "Computer Engineering") or English and German (German Track). The language of instruction for each module is detailed in the course overview.

    Методика оценки заявок

After submitting an online application, the applicant will automatically receive a list of documents that must be submitted before the deadline. The documents included on this list depend on the personal information provided in the online application, as well as the chosen degree program. Certain documents are mandatory, e.g. a university entrance qualification or a complete and current CV.

First, the applicant's grade point average and subject-specific grades will be evaluated using a point system. Which grades are evaluated and how they are weighted depends on the applicant's chosen degree program. Each program has a set of statues that defines the formula to be used. Depending on the amount of points accumulated, applicants are either immediately admitted, rejected or invited to a 20 minute admissions interview carried out by the department faculty. The interview helps determine if the applicant is capable of successfully completing the desired course of study. There is no written test.

Please note: In contrast to the Numerus Clausus programs, the number of spots available (capacity limit) is not fixed. We accept all applicants we feel are qualified. As such, no lotteries will be held after final selections have been made, and there will be no list of alternatives for unsuccessful applicants to claim unwanted spots.
