In the bachelor’s program in Business Mathematics (B.Sc.), basic knowledge and skills from three different areas (mathematics, economics and computer science) are imparted within three years (6 semesters). The focus is on the application of mathematics to economic issues.

The three fields of mathematics, economics and computer science together ensure very good preparation for professional life. Business mathematicians later work in the banking/insurance industry, in management consultancies and wherever processes or structures need to be optimised, predicted and evaluated, such as in energy/pharmaceutical groups, logistics or transport companies.

A four-week internship (5 ECTS) or at least an eight-week internship (10 ECTS) can be included as a key qualification in the bachelor's program in Business Mathematics.

Учебный план программы обучения "Mathematical Economics"

The study of business mathematics with the goal of completing a bachelor's degree comprises a basic and orientation phase of two semesters and a bachelor's phase of four semesters. A total of 180 ECTS points are required to successfully complete the course. The course is divided into the blocks "Basic modules in mathematics" (50 ECTS), "Advanced modules in stochastics and optimization" (20-30 ECTS), "Mathematical elective modules" (15-25 ECTS), "Minor subject economics" (30 ECTS), " Minor subject computer science" (15 ECTS), "Cross-sectional module and seminar" (15 ECTS), "Key qualifications" (10 ECTS) and "Bachelor seminar and bachelor thesis" (15 ECTS).
