The study of medicine places high demands on the students: a wide range of scientific subjects (scientific and medical fundamentals, clinical subjects and areas of psychology and sociology) and accordingly a considerable amount of knowledge must be mastered; the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge with regard to the individual case of illness must be achieved; and finally, dealing with sick people within the training places special demands on the personality and the ability to communicate. The medical education, which should convey all this, takes place in a clear structuring of three sections.
