The training to become a doctor is carried out on a scientific basis and is practical and patient-related. she should- the basic knowledge about the bodily functions and the mental and spiritual properties of humans,
- the basic knowledge about diseases and sick people,
- the general knowledge, skills and abilities in diagnostics, therapy, health promotion, prevention and rehabilitation required for medical action,
- practical experience in dealing with patients, including the interdisciplinary approach to diseases and the ability to coordinate treatment,
- the ability to take into account the health economic effects of medical action,
- basic knowledge of the effects of family, society and the environment on health, the organization of health care and coping with the consequences of diseases,
- the intellectual, historical and ethical foundations of medical behavior

First stage of study (4 semesters)
In the first stage of the study, the student should primarily learn the basics of medicine. The subjects decide accordingly- Anatomy
- Biochemistry
- Physiology
- Medical Psychology
- Medical sociology
the timetable of the first stage of study. There is also an introduction to the medical profession and medical terminology.
The curricula of the basic sciences in biology, chemistry and physics are geared towards medical content. As part of the internship "Introduction to Clinical Medicine" (2nd year of study), students will come into contact with patients for the first time and complete the first examination courses.
The last section of the 4th semester is reserved for organ-related integrated seminars and seminars with clinical references. The aim of these teaching events is to promote systemic thinking and to enable students to build bridges between the basic subjects. The first stage of study lasts 2 years and is completed with the first stage of the medical examination.
To register for the exam, 15 certificates of achievement ("certificates") are required (see ÄAppO, Appendix 1). In addition, a certificate of nursing service (90 days) and proof of training in first aid are required. We strongly recommend that you provide the nursing service before you begin your studies.
Second stage of study
In the second stage of the course, key symptom-related instruction is offered. The course consists of five modules. Essential elements of the course in section 2 are regular and standardized tests of knowledge, skills and abilities as well as defined scope for scientific work.

Human genetics, hygiene, microbiology, virology, clinical chemistry, laboratory diagnostics, pathology, pharmacology, toxicology, imaging processes, radiation treatment, radiation protection, infectious diseases, immunology
Module 2-3 - Interdisciplinary base year
Nephrology, urology, pharmacology, pathology, neuropathology, radiology, trauma, rheumatism, cardiology, cardiac surgery, surgery, physical medicine, anesthesiology, intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pain therapy, immunology, orthopedics
Module 4 - Nervous System and Sensory
Dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, neurology and neurosurgery, psychiatry and psychotherapy, psychosomatic medicine, clinical pharmacology (cross-sectional area Q 9)
