A bachelor's degree in nutritional science opens professional perspectives, for example in quality control and product development and marketing in the food industry. Other potential employers are biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

The bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences also opens up the opportunity for further qualification to become a nutritionist.

Further fields of activity for nutritionists can be found in life science and biomedicine-oriented areas of public service, in associations, in the media industry, in training and further education, as well as in academic and industrial research after completing a master's degree and completing a doctorate.

Учебный план программы обучения "Nutritional Science"

In contrast to ecotrophology (household and nutritional sciences), the subject is scientifically and biomedically oriented. You learn multidisciplinary and with high scientific standards various aspects of nutrition on a molecular, cellular level as well as on the level of whole organisms. To make this possible, comprehensive scientific and biomedical foundations are laid in the subjects of physics, mathematics, biostatistics, chemistry, molecular and human biology and microbiology in the first year of study. In the second year of study, nutritional content such as nutritional physiology and toxicology, biochemistry of nutrition and metabolism, food hygiene, chemistry and technology are based on this. In the third year of study, a wide range of advanced modules enables the deepening of a nutritional focus with consideration of individual professional interests. This serves to orientate and qualify for a corresponding professional field or to prepare for consecutive master's programs with corresponding specialist orientations.
