Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering"

The students start the course against the background of a well-founded mathematical and scientific education in the Bachelor course. Furthermore, they have already acquired a broad knowledge in the areas of process engineering and bioprocess engineering. The focus on “engineering and process engineering” is once again central to the compulsory area of the master’s course. The bioprocess technology profile will be sharpened on an equal footing. The specialty of the Master’s course in Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering is a large selection of elective modules. Above all, bioprocess engineering and biotechnology as well as engineering and process engineering are prioritized. In addition, the curriculum is supplemented by a wide range of options in energy and environmental technology as well as law and economics. Furthermore, the students deepen their scientific work in preparation for later tasks in research and science.

Учебный план программы обучения "Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering"

The Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering builds on the basics from the Bachelor’s degree of the same name. Compulsory modules are e.g. Subjects such as protein engineering, hygienic processing, pharmaceutical technology 2, bioreactors, bioreaction technology and process and plant engineering. In addition to the compulsory subjects, students can bring in a third of the credits to be earned from numerous elective subjects and thus put together their own profile according to their interests. The master thesis is written in the 4th semester.

Basically, the Master in Pharmaceutical Bioprocess Engineering builds on the fundamentals of the previous Bachelor's degree. The compulsory modules focus on subjects such as protein engineering, hygienic processing 2, pharmaceutical technology 2, bioreactors, bioreaction technology and process and plant engineering. This shows the usual combination of process engineering and bioprocess engineering material for this course. In order to create sufficient practical relevance, you can choose from a wide range of laboratory internships in addition to the courses. Compared to the bachelor's degree, you have much more freedom of choice in the master's degree. You can use 40 credits in modules according to your taste. The only requirement is that at least 5 credits must be obtained from the subject areas of bioprocess engineering and biotechnology, engineering and process engineering as well as law and economics. Take advantage of this freedom and create your own personal profile that corresponds to your interests and makes you unique on the job market. Possible in-depth topics are production and fermentation processes, reactor technology, process development and optimization, bioprocess engineering, protein chemistry and analysis, hygiene, quality management and legal requirements for the production of pharmaceuticals. In addition, your internship, which is also a prerequisite for admission, gives you valuable insights into possible future fields of activity. It is part of your practical training and contributes to your individual profile development. You will gain in-depth insights into the food industry and get to know different work processes. In order to successfully complete your studies, you decide in the fourth semester as part of your master’s thesis on a topic of your choice and show that you can answer a complex question from the field of pharmaceutical bioprocess engineering independently and purposefully
