In order to find new technical solutions and to develop ever better products, engineers are required who can work systematically and interdisciplinary - such as physics engineers. You solve technical problems systematically and interdisciplinary on the basis of well-founded scientific knowledge, whether in mechanical or plant engineering, in the semiconductor industry or in medical technology.

The physical engineering course provides you with a sound physical education, supplemented by central subjects of modern engineering, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and electronics, control and regulation technology, data processing, laser technology as well as micro and nanotechnology. This means that you are ideally equipped to deal competently with complex topics and questions in your later professional life.

The seven-semester course (8 semesters with a practical semester) is divided into a core course and an advanced course. In the core course, you will learn the basics of the classic disciplines of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and electronics, chemistry, materials science, technical mechanics, electronic data processing and construction elements.

In the advanced course, compulsory courses in measurement, control and regulation technology, laser technology and optical technologies, CAD / CAM technology and construction technology, semiconductor technology and nanostructures are offered, some of which are supplemented in one of the following specialization blocks in the sixth semester: physical applications, engineering applications, materials technology and Electronics.
