Psychologie

Psychology is an empirical science in which one observes and describes the experience and behavior of people, their development in the course of life and all relevant internal and external causes and conditions.

The course is interdisciplinary - it contains parts from the natural, social and human sciences. Using this data on experience and behavior, theories about the psychological structure and functioning are developed and checked.

Учебный план программы обучения "Psychology"

The course is designed as a general master’s degree, the content of which builds on the bachelor’s degree. The conception as a general master’s degree means a broad focus with the simultaneous possibility of focusing on the content.

The course includes a compulsory curriculum that must be completed equally by all students, as well as an elective curriculum.

The compulsory curriculum (80 CP) includes 7 modules: research methods, psychological diagnostics, multivariate statistics, project work, supplementary area (minor), internship, master's thesis.

The elective curriculum (40 CP) consists of 5-7 modules (depending on the scope of the selected modules). Due to the wide range of topics, it offers students the opportunity to focus on their own content.

When designing the compulsory elective area, you can choose between two models:

a) Studies without a focus:

A basic advanced module with a total of 10 CP (module 4 or 5) and application modules (modules 6 to 17) with a total of 30 CP must be selected. Depending on the size of the selected application modules (5 or 10 CP), 4-6 application modules must be occupied.

The students are relatively free to choose which application modules they want to take. However, there are restrictions (in the form of prerequisites for participation) for the clinical modules M10 and M12 (see PO). In addition, when putting together the modules, it must be ensured that the resulting individual timetable (i.e. the distribution of the workload over the 4 semesters) can also be studied.

b) Studies with a focus

One of the following three main areas is chosen, within which 30 CP are achieved:

a) Psychology in working life (modules 4, 6-8)
b) Clinical Psychology (Modules 5, 9-12)
c) Psychology of Aging (Module 4 or 5, 14-17)

Another 10 CP can be obtained from application modules that have not yet been selected in the main focus. If you choose focus (a) or (c), modules 10 and 12 cannot be chosen.
