Renewable energies and e-mobility - these are particularly innovative, fast-growing and future-oriented sectors at home and abroad.

A rethink in the area of ​​energy supply and use is essential in times of climate change and the finiteness and instability of the fossil fuel supply. Particular attention is paid to the use of renewable energy sources such as solar radiation in PV and solar thermal systems, biomass, wind and hydropower as well as the development of alternative storage concepts and electric vehicles. The electrification of the automobile can be an important step to avoid the consequences of climate change and at the same time take an important step towards the future competitiveness of our automotive industry. The new study program is intended to address these future topics and help to cover the growing need for engineers.

Graduates can apply scientific methods and analyzes to solve complex problems in practice and research. The Master's program offers a range of optional modules in the fields of renewable energies or electromobility. In addition to compulsory modules on the basis of mathematical and technical principles and interdisciplinary qualifications, application-specific specialist knowledge is taught in elective modules on various topics in the two main areas.

The rethinking of tomorrow's energy supply and use requires scientific methods and practical experience in order to successfully solve difficult and complex problems in research and practice. Based on mathematical and technical principles and with the help of comprehensive qualifications, you will acquire theoretical and application-related skills in elective modules. You can demonstrate these scientific competencies, skills and abilities in the master's thesis.

The content of the course is scientifically application-oriented and is intended, among other things, to enable you to do a doctorate at a university.

This master's program is offered entirely in English.

We offer our master's program Renewable Energy and E-Mobility in three different variants, each of which differ in terms of the duration and the practical semester. Depending on the academic background (first degree), the master's degree can be achieved in 3 or 4 semesters:
• 3-semester master's degree (first degree: 210 ECTS points)
• 4-semester master's degree with practical semester (first degree: 180 ECTS points)
• 4-semester master's degree without practical semester (first degree: 180 ECTS points)
