Описание программы обучения "Technische Physik – Engineering Physics"
Due to the different professional orientation of the universities involved in this field of study, the students get an insight into the broad spectrum of physics, such as sensor and actuator technology, optoelectronics and computer science. The practical semester in Germany or abroad and the bachelor thesis enable early contacts to industrial practice.
Students in Engineering Physics can switch to one of the other two courses until the end of the second semester:
In contrast to other engineering courses, Engineering Physics allows a stronger look behind the scenes - scientific working methods, mathematical-physical understanding and the "why" are the focus.
On the one hand, the bachelor's degree course is based on a basic understanding of physical concepts, on the other hand, the students benefit from the research focuses of the participating universities. At Coburg University of Applied Sciences, these are in the field of sensor and actuator technology, in Shanghai in optics engineering.
Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Technische Physik – Engineering Physics"
Engineering physicists can be found everywhere, where physical phenomena can be implemented into innovative techniques. Because of the broad scientific education, Engineering Physics allows the graduates to work on technological innovations in the areas of industrial research and development. Areas might include autonomous driving, biophysics, renewable energy and medical physics. Moreover, our graduates work in environmental measuring technologies and aerospace. Our bachelor graduates can work in internationally operating companies in Germany or abroad. Students may continue their studies with a master degree in a variety of scientific and technical areas.Международный обмен по программе обучения "Technische Physik – Engineering Physics"
USST Shanghai
Engineering Physics combines the specialties of two universities: Coburg University as a specialist in sensor technology with its Institute of Sensor and Actuator Technology and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST) with the College of Optical, Electrical and Computer Engineering as our partner at that time.USST is a well-established and full-fledged multidisciplinary university committed to training competent professionals in the fields of Engineering, Management, Commerce, Arts, Sciences and Medicine. Additional information about USST and the College of Optical and Electric Information Engineering can be found on this website: www.usst.edu.cnUniversity of Twente
The University of Twente is a modern campus university in the Netherlands. The international study program “Advanced Technology” transfers theoretical knowledge into practice. The classes are taught in a personal and informal atmosphere on a project-based education. Moreover, the University of Twente has several excellent research institutes.University of Winnipeg
The University of Winnipeg is located in the English-speaking part of Canada, Manitoba. You can look forward to mild summers, cold winters and a lot of opportunities for spare time activities. The study program you will attend there is physics. It is specialized in nuclear physics and works in close cooperation with the TRIUMF research institute in Vancouver.More cooperations are planned.Стажировки и практика в программе обучения "Technische Physik – Engineering Physics"
Basic internship
A basic internship is not required. Before starting your studies, however, we recommend that you work in relevant companies so that you can get an idea of what you will do later on.
Internship semester
The practical semester usually takes place in the sixth semester. It covers a continuous period of 20 weeks and can be completed in Germany or abroad. In addition, the students attend practical courses.
Учебный план программы обучения "Technische Physik – Engineering Physics"
Semester 1 and 2 (in Coburg, teaching language: German) During the first year, students will be provided with a fundamental knowledge in natural sciences like physics (optics, thermodynamics) and chemistry, mathematics and applied computer science. These topics are combined with classes in engineering like computer aided design, measurement and control technology as well as applied electronics. Supervised laboratory courses complete the lectures.Semester 3 and 4 (abroad, teaching language: English) The second year of the program takes place at one of our partner universities where classes are taught in English. Students will focus on Analog Circuits, Physics, Mathematics, Software Design, Signals and Systems there.Semester 5 - 7 (in Coburg, teaching language: English or German)- Practical Internship of at least 20 weeks in industry or in a research institute according to the choice of the student, also possible abroad
- Modules on practice related subjects
- Electives
- Study project
- Bachelor seminar and bachelor thesis (in English or German, also possible at OTH Regensburg)
