Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Advanced Architecture"

The graduates of the course are able to work in particular at the interface between abstract drafts and concrete findings. This means focusing on the planning phase, which is referred to as "execution planning" in the German performance plan. This is done with the inclusion of the design process and in close connection with the current developments in scientific research in the field of design and construction.

Relevant professional fields for graduates are architecture, engineering and construction companies, the construction industry, real estate development and housing associations, real estate companies, the public sector, as well as research and technical development of design and construction.

Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Advanced Architecture"

Students acquire a comprehensive knowledge of design and construction through a combination of lecture series and modules that address design and construction in the fields of urban design, design of existing buildings, and design of new buildings and built environments. This is accompanied by internationally oriented projects and a selection of numerous elective modules. Through a specialization project and the compulsory elective modules, the students can concentrate on individual interests, which can then be the focus of their master's thesis. In addition, 30 ECTS can be chosen from the German master’s degree in architecture if the students have the necessary German language skills.

Through intensive study of multiple contexts from a global, diverse, and multicultural perspective, students develop their ability to independently translate abstract designs into concrete realizations of material and construction. They are able to combine professional, practical, technical, economic, ecological and social aspects while taking into account the respective cultural, historical and climatic situations. In the fourth semester, students write their master's thesis and take part in a final colloquium.

The modules complement each other and are linked to each other (e.g. through combined projects, excursions, lectures, conferences and e-learning). The integrated, international structure of the course offers the possibility of a unique study experience in the future-oriented metropolitan region around Frankfurt am Main.

Учебный план программы обучения "Advanced Architecture"

Modularization in studies means a study structure in which courses such as lectures, exercises, internships, excursions or seminars are combined into thematic units, the modules. The composition of a module is determined by the competence that is to be acquired by completing this module.

The module handbook contains information on the duration, credits, type of examination, requirements, learning outcome, workload, form of learning, content, literature, those responsible for the modules in a course. The module overview and the course content can be downloaded in PDF format.

We train professionals, who help develop and shape the future of cities. There are currently 2,900 young men and women enrolled in five Bachelor and nine Master degree courses at one of the largest faculties in the fields of planning and construction in the metropolitan region Frankfurt Rhine/Main.

We show that knowledge is enhanced through practical projects through intensive lab and project work (German only) and through cooperations with the planning and construction  industry. We train professionals, who help develop and shape the future of cities. Our Research Institute FFin supports the knowledge transfer between research and teaching. This is how we train our graduates to be successful on the labor market in the construction industry of the future. They learn in an energy efficient - sustainable - cross generational manner.
