The focus of our training is working on new forms of spoken and musical theater as well as performative theater approaches based on scientific knowledge. During the course of the course, the basics and approaches of philosophy, sociology and aesthetics, knowledge of theater and cultural history, drafts of contemporary theater aesthetics, dramaturgical skills in musical and spoken theater as well as basic technical knowledge and directing skills are taught and discussed.

Workshops
As part of the directing studies, many workshops take place to expand the concept of theater and open up to current theater formats by engaging with currently relevant theater makers.

The equal development of crafts in musical theater and acting as well as the curation of performative projects are at the center of our training.
Imparting theory and practice in work through:
- Individual and group work
- Consultation:
- Feedback discussions for concept development
- Orientation discussions for personal and professional development
- Mentorate the projects (also by guest lecturers)
- Collaboration with the various study programs at the theater academy (acting, musical theater/opera singing, musicals, make-up, dramaturgy, composition, stage design, criticism)
