The bachelor's degree in economics provides a comprehensive overview of the various disciplines of business and economics and the underlying mathematical and theoretical methods. In this sense, the foundations, which are closely interlinked in a globalized world, are learned and a well-founded basic knowledge acquired. The students receive a comprehensive insight into central economic issues and their analysis. The wide-ranging study of economics enables both undergraduate and graduate students very diverse career prospects.
The teaching of a solid scientific and methodological basis is the focus of university education in Würzburg. Key qualifications and contacts in the regional and supraregional economy give valuable impulses for the professional practice and prepare both for an activity in the free economy as well as in the science.
As varied as the study contents are, so broad is the field of activity. Graduates of economics degree programs often take on tasks in the management of commercial enterprises, banks and insurance companies, research institutes, political parties, associations, chambers or national and international organizations, but also in public administration.
For leadership positions and a scientific career, following the bachelor's degree i.d.R. expect a master's degree.
Depending on their specialization, graduates can start their careers in, for example, banks or insurance companies, auditing and tax consulting firms, management consultancies or scientific institutes and research institutes.
Учебный план программы обучения "Economics"
The bachelor's degree in economics is designed for 6 semesters. The first two semesters are part of the basic and orientation phase. They learn methodological basics and acquire elementary business and economic basic knowledge. In addition, you will gain a comprehensive insight into central economic issues and gain an impression of mathematical and theoretical concepts that will occupy you in the further course of your studies. By successfully completing the basic and orientation phase, you will automatically qualify for the second phase of the bachelor's degree program (see also paragraph Basic and Orientation Examination).
The bachelor phase starts from the third semester. In addition to the compulsory program, you can choose from a pool of attractive elective and key qualification modules. This section is the centerpiece of your first professional qualification.
