The master's degree course Mechatronics and Robotics aims at graduates with a bachelor's degree in engineering in the fields of electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering and associated disciplines. It provides deeper knowledge of the competencies from the first academic degree in the fields of Robotics and Mechatronics two highly topical fields of application.

With the academic degree Master of Science (MSc), graduates have the opportunity to obtain a doctorate at universities abroad. The seamless transition to a cooperative doctorate at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is another possibility.

Учебный план программы обучения "Mechatronics and Robotics"

The studies in the master's degree course Mechatronics and Robotics include the following areas:

  • Mechatronics: Modules on the topics simulation, regulation, measuring technology and networking take up current topics and trends of mechatronics.
  • Robotics: Next to an introduction into the industrial applications of robotics in the fields of automation and production, another focus is on assistance robots, autonomous systems and methods of artificial intelligence.
  • Project work: The course entails two project modules with each 10 ECTS credits and concludes with a one-semester long master's thesis (30 ECTS). The project modules can be thematically combined with the master's thesis, so that it can be an opportunity to work on a continuing three-semester long research project.

All lectures are further enhanced through exercises and practical experience in labs. Excursions to industrial companies and fair visits complement the course offer.
