Описание программы обучения "Mechatronics and Robotics"

The aim of the Master Degree course Mechatronics and Robotics is to educate specialists and experts at the interface between mechanical engineering, computer engineering and electrical engineering. You will be trained in interdisciplinary thinking and be able to
  • connect mechanical, electric and data-processing components,
  • design robotic systems and
  • develop smart objects and the “internet of things”.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Mechatronics and Robotics"

Opportunities arise for graduates in inter alia automotive engineering, automation technology and in medical technology and engineering.

Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Mechatronics and Robotics"

Graduates of this application and research-focused Master Degree course are optimally prepared for the challenges of this interdisciplinary arena at the interface between mechanical engineering, computer engineering and electrical engineering.
  • You acquire knowledge for processing mechatronic systems and you are able to connect different areas in the field of mechatronics.
  • You know the methods of automatic control, like state space methods and modeling of control systems.
  • You are able to develop mechatronic systems based on fundamentals of dynamics, computer and electric engineering.
  • Moreover, students are free to go deeper into specific subjects, gaining further insights into electrical engineering and/or computer engineering, for example, by attending an image processing course in robotics.
  • Since graduates learn how to network the specialized knowledge of the disciplines concerned, they are able to view a mechatronic system from all relevant perspectives.

    Методика оценки заявок

Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure. Aptitude assessment is a two-part procedure after the submission of an official application to a program. In this procedure, the TUM school or department determines whether you meet the specific requirements for its master’s degree program.

In the initial stages, the grades you obtained during your bachelor's program, as well as your written documents, will be evaluated using a point system. Depending on the amount of points accumulated, applicants are either immediately admitted, rejected or invited to an admissions interview.
