Программа обучения Robotics (Robotik)

Программа обучения "Robotics (Robotik)" в University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt

Robotik

Robotics is an innovative and rapidly growing field of technology. Robots can already be found in many areas of industry and daily life and their importance is growing steadily.

Since their large-scale introduction in the second half of the past century, robots have developed into sophisticated and highly complex systems. More than ever, the design and implementation of such robot systems requires sound, academic training. For this purpose, the FHWS has developed an independent and unique Bachelor's degree in robotics in cooperation with industrial partners. The course prepares future robotics engineers with a mix of theoretical and practical teaching content for the challenges of tomorrow and opens the door to a promising field of employment.

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Robotics (Robotik)"

Favored by the digitalization of production (Industry 4.0) and the establishment of components of artificial intelligence (AI), there is a growing need for robots. This is associated with high long-term demand for academically qualified robotics engineers. In addition to robotics, the course also qualifies for cross-sectional activities in the fields of computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.

Учебный план программы обучения "Robotics (Robotik)"

The robotics course is divided into three sections. The first section is the basic course from the 1st to 4th semester. Basics from the fields of computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering as well as soft skills are taught. In the subsequent practical semester (5th semester), the students gain professional experience in a company. This is followed by the specialist and advanced studies in the 6th and 7th semester. In this section, students have the opportunity to accentuate their education with lectures from specialist areas of robotics. In addition, the 7th semester includes the preparation of the bachelor thesis.

A central component of the study program are practical courses that take place in each semester of the basic and advanced studies. True to the motto "Learning by doing", students consolidate their theoretical knowledge through practical application.

Specializations

The course aims to cover the topic of robotics holistically. He meets this requirement by offering three specializations, between which students can choose in the 6th and 7th semesters. These include “Industrial Robotics”, “Mobile Robotics” and “Humanoid and Service Robotics”. The areas of specialization deal with the following priorities:

  • Industrial robotics: Automation and production technology, collaborative robotics, kinematics and dynamics of serial and parallel manipulators, programming of industrial robots
  • Mobile robotics: Navigation and mapping, mobile platforms (air, land, water and underwater), flight mechanics and drones
  • Humanoids and Service Robotics: Speech recognition and speech synthesis, upright mobility, bionics, Human Robot Interaction (HRI)
