Программа обучения "Management and Quality Development in the Health Sector" в Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences

Management und Qualitätsentwicklung im Gesundheitswesen

ASH Berlin has been qualifying specialists for managerial positions in healthcare and nursing facilities since 1994. With the conversion of the former diploma course in nursing/care management from 2005 into the graded forms of bachelor's and master's studies, a consecutive master's course was designed for further academic qualification. Since the summer semester of 2008, this master's course has offered the opportunity to expand and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired in the bachelor's course, especially in the areas of management in the health care system, quality development in the health care system and the skills for independent research. It is aimed at university graduates who have completed a bachelor's degree in the field of health and care management, physiotherapy/ergotherapy or a comparable degree.

The module content builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in the undergraduate course. Students can choose between two majors:

  • Management and Business Administration  or
  • Research and quality development.

Depending on the major, the course qualifies you for managerial, conceptual, advisory and/or research positions in healthcare facilities. The overarching study goals, which are given different weight depending on the chosen major, are in particular:

  • Development, consulting and management of healthcare facilities
  • Research, evaluation and quality management in healthcare
  • Access to academic work and further qualification (e.g. doctorate)

The master's program gives the students plenty of scope for independent, project-related work. It is internationally oriented and offers students from the 3rd semester a choice between the two majors mentioned above and also between several project seminars in the 2nd to 4th semester.
